This website was started by a group of four Central Coast New Tech students: Dylan Hert- History Page and Home page designer Sheridan Lutes- Vietnam Today and Home page designer Luis - Government and Home page designer Cole Davis- Colonial Times and Home page designer They were assigned Vietnam and were to study and collect information to teach students at Da Vinci Charter Academy but not just them, the whole world that wants to learn more or use a reliable research site on Vietnam. The teachers: Mr. Holst and Isbell thought of a great project and they explained everything there was to create an awesome website. Students' and Teachers' thoughts on the project: "We had a project called Scramble for Colonies, my group received Vietnam which I thought was a home run because Vietnam has a rocky history with colonization." - Dylan Hert "I thought when we first got the project, that we were going to take forever to do, But it turns out, it was pretty easy." - Cole Davis "We wanted to teach students about colonization because it was a sensitive topic, and we also wanted to show empathy for the countries that were colonized and teach the students how to make a website." - Mrs. Isbell "When we first got the project I knew this was going to be hard because I don't know anything about the Vietnam war and after I researched about the war and talked with my group who knew a lot about it I was able to write a good narrative essay and I was able to answer some questions that were assigned. Also I understood the content better and it went by really fast and I had fun on this project and I was able to learn a lot from it." -Sheridan Lutes "When we were assigned the project, I thought it was going to be hard but it turned out to be fun." - Luis Valdez |
